Flowers, gardens and architecture have always been a part of my life and themes in my work.

I grew up in many homes, the most memorable a tiny house overlooking a reserve, with a ship’s buoy for a swing and a huge fallen log covered in flowers and greenery.

Whilst my parents taught me to find beauty and magic in the every day, my love of flowers was inherited from both grandmothers. One painted irises at art college, and the other fills her house with flowers picked from her beloved garden. I'm sure that they played a big part in motivating me to work with silk flowers and train as a florist whilst studying for my degree in fine art.

After graduation I immersed myself in the world of botanics- photographing gardens and flower shows around the world, and working with renowned landscape designer Xanthe White to gain a behind the scenes perspective.

Initially I tried to photograph gardens like photographers I admired, but the shots never looked quite as I imagined.  A defining moment was when my mentor helped me realise that it was OK to photograph gardens, plants and architecture differently, with my own unique perspective. This is what I have been focusing on ever since. My purpose is to reveal the magic.

I have photographed many Southern Hemisphere gardens, been flown worldwide to shoot flower shows, contributed to garden books, and exhibited my work.  My clients include architects, landscape designers and landscape architects worldwide.

New-Zealand born, I live in Melbourne, Australia.
